Individual Therapy and Counseling

Therapy is a supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s going on in your life and work toward meaningful change. I provide telehealth therapy for teens and young adults in Florida and Nebraska.

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to handle stress, relationships, or emotions. Together, we work to understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building practical coping skills you can use in daily life.

Therapy can help you:

  • build confidence and self-awareness

Sessions are collaborative and paced to your comfort level. The goal is to help you feel more stable, confident, and able to handle challenges outside of therapy.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy helps people process past experiences that continue to affect their emotions, reactions, and relationships. You may notice strong emotional responses, feeling constantly on edge, avoiding reminders of the past, or difficulty trusting others. These reactions are common after difficult experiences and can improve with the right support.

I am trained in trauma-focused treatment and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies. Therapy focuses on understanding triggers, managing emotional reactions, and learning grounding and coping skills so memories feel less overwhelming.

Trauma therapy is gradual and supportive. You will not be pushed to talk about anything before you are ready. The goal is to help you feel safer, more in control, and less affected by past experiences in your daily life.

Addiction & Substance Use Counseling

Addiction counseling helps individuals understand and change patterns related to alcohol, drugs, or other coping behaviors that are becoming difficult to control. I provide telehealth addiction counseling for teens and young adults in Florida and Nebraska.

Many clients are not sure if their use is a “serious problem.” They may notice increasing reliance on substances to cope with stress, anxiety, low mood, or past experiences. Therapy focuses on understanding what the behavior is doing for you and developing healthier ways to manage emotions and daily pressures.

Addiction counseling can help you:

  • manage cravings and triggers

  • reduce or stop substance use

  • understand the connection between mental health and substance use

  • develop healthier coping strategies

  • rebuild routines and motivation

  • improve relationships and communication

I frequently work with co-occurring concerns, meaning mental health symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or trauma are present alongside substance use. Treatment addresses both at the same time rather than treating them separately.

Sessions are private, supportive, and practical. We focus on real-life strategies you can use outside of therapy, while also exploring the thoughts and experiences contributing to the behavior. Family involvement can be included when helpful, especially for teens.
